Wear Your Mask

No Blow Outs

WHITE Salon will be opening on Tuesday May 12th. We are very excited to see our clients and friends but a little pensive too. Not all stylists will be immediately available. COVID19 has not gone away. It is still a major public health issue. The management of WHITE has made it a priority to protect our staff and clients above all else. Please, read through our protocols so you will know what to expect when you visit us. These guidelines are in place to protect you.

 Appointments

Appointments are being scheduled in such a way as to allow for plenty of room for people to practice social distancing. Please, keep in mind that this severely impacts the earning potential for each stylist. During this time we will have to enforce a zero tolerance policy for missed appointments. Any appointment missed or not canceled 24 hours prior will result in a 100% charge for services. The following list will outline how the appointment system will work. No mask equals no service.

The day before your appointment we will call to confirm the time and services booked. If you receive a message, call us back. This is the only way we can guarantee your appointment.

We will ask if you are well, been around someone ill in the last week, or been ill in the last two weeks. We will remind you to call when you arrive at the salon. Wait in your car. There is no waiting room so we will signal to you when your seat is open. Put your mask on and come in.

Someone will take your temperature at the door. Unfortunately, we will have to reschedule if the reading is over 99 degrees. We have two infrared machines and an electronic thermometer.

Sadly, we can not accept that signs of illness are allergies. If you are having difficulties with allergies or appear in bad health we will reschedule.

After the temperature reading we will have you wash your hands and then we are ready to start your service.

No guests or children may accompany you during your visit at the salon. Only persons receiving services may be in the salon. Again, there is no waiting area inside the salon.

Leave any jackets, scarves or personal items other than your purse or laptop in your vehicle. No clothing will be hung in changing rooms..

We will not be doing blow out services. Blow dryers will not be available.

Normally, we are happy to serve in every way but during this time period we will ask all clients to dispose of any waste that they have themselves. Drink cups, tissue, food containers etc.

Service Providers

Service providers will be wearing masks for your protection and you will wear one to protect them . Please, wear a cheap mask when getting color as it will be stained. We can not be responsible for masks that may be damaged during services.

Each service provider will have a sanitation kit for their work area and tools. We have always had a robust sterilization system for our tools and will continue as usual..

Service providers will not be required to wear gloves as they will be washing hands between clients. If this is worrisome for you, call us and if your stylist is not wearing gloves we will let you know and we can make other arrangements for your services.

Please, remember that your provider will be working in a mask. If you have been wearing a mask you already know how they feel. It may be difficult to carry a normal conversation and work.

Employees will have their temperature taken before starting work .

The Salon

We have redesignated all waiting areas for processing of color. This will allow for appropriate social distancing.

Solid barriers have been installed between processing chairs.

Again, changing rooms are only for putting on smocks. No hanging clothing. Be sure to throw used smocks in bins. Do not hang them. As always all smocks are washed between clients.

Stylists will be using sterilizing products to make ready their work area after every client.

Restrooms will have sterilizing sprays. We ask that clients spray down the sink and toilet after use. There will be signs to remind the next person to use a paper towel to wipe before using.

We will be cleaning floors and bathrooms thoroughly at least multiple times daily.

We have replaced our regular filters on air conditioning units with advanced filters.

Our regular filtered cucumber and lemon water will be replaced with individual bottled water for the time being.

Although they are the devil, we will be using disposable cups for coffee and tea for the near future.

Physical barriers have been installed between work areas

Should you be diagnosed with COVID-19 within 14 days of visiting our salon, let us know. We will do the same if your service provider becomes ill.

A Message from The Owner

I am excited to get back to work. Of course I am also apprehensive. Like many people I worry that things may be moving a little quickly. I have implemented the above protocols to protect myself, my staff and our clients. My staff  are committed professionals and some have chosen to return to work. Some have chosen to put off returning and I can not argue with this reasoning. It is my responsibility to keep these guys as safe as I can. Some of the measures put in place will be unpopular with some but they are 100% non negotiable.  I love our clients but I love my staff far more and will tolerate no dismissiveness when it comes to the seriousness of this disease.
